Having dealt with 'problem' skin all my life, I was recently paid the best compliment ever when a friend I hadn't seen in a while commented that my skin looked clear and radiant.

I love Consonant Organics.

The cleanser is deep cleaning but not harsh. The cream is light-weight with intense moisture. And the eye creams together reduce darkness and fine lines. I also appreciate the vegan & organic ingredient list. I will now be switching my body care to Consonant as well and I cant wait for the company to expand and develop new products.

Last Thursday I attended multiple Yaletown holiday events...

First stop was the Cross anniversary party. I love to browse this place regularly and will definitely be making multiple purchases once I find my dream gothic apartment. For now I picked up some John Derian postcards and a Voluspa candle.

Next I headed to Boudoir. I was hoping to pick up some pieces by Mink Pink but they were out of my size. I recommend checking them out when shopping for upcoming holiday parties.

Then it was over to my favourite beauty spot Beauty Mark. My friends were drawn to the 'I Karl/Anna/Marc Fashion' tees. I used the night's discount to pick up some My Face Works paper masks. I'm hoping my stocking is full of items from this place.

Finally I hit up Noir Lash Lounge, where I promptly made an appointment for the weekend. Visit Noir for a holiday beauty treat - you'll even get to fit in a nap ;-)

Went to Hollywood for 2 days with Ryan & Ceremony. Stayed at the same hotel as Ghostface Killah, but that was the only thing cool about it - cracked paint and so much noise. I guess it was also nice to be within walking distance of Veggie Grill

I'm usually a wash & go type with my hair - I like to stay in bed as long as possible in the morning so I can't be bothered to spend all the time it takes to blow dry then flat iron. The Brazilian Blowout sounded good all except for the $500 price tag, and now the reports of questionable ingredients, so of course I jumped at the chance to try out the at-home version Liquid Keratin.

My "before" photo that won me the product test contest. And my pre-treatment flat-ironed hair.

First step was to use the shampoo & 30 day treatment spray. Not using conditioner was weird to me but that's what the instructions said to do. After a blow-dry & iron I looked like this

Washed again a few days later (the instructions said 48 hrs but I went 72) this time using the shampoo & conditioner, plus the leave-in conditioner. I did this way too early in the morning before work and didn't think I would have time for the dry & iron, but I made it to the office with time for coffee on the way!

I paid a visit to Noir Lash Lounge last week for a new set of extensions. I had these done for free as a part of their training program. If you're a regular of the service at Noir I highly recommend taking advantage of the free service - you're helping out your future lash technicians, you're getting the same quality service (for free) and it only took a little longer than usual (regular hr & half, this time 2 hrs), but I used this extra time for a bit of a nap :-)

1 week into the 30 day skin care challenge from BeautyMark and Consonant Organics. I'm trying out Ultra Moisturizing Organic Face Cream, Ultra Firming Organic Eye Cream, and Citrus Bergamot scented Foaming Face Wash.

I wasn't sure of the Face Cream at the start but I was told in store that would probably happen.
I love the simple packaging, and of course the ingredients list is appealing.
Have I finally found a full product line that I like? 23 days to go!

On my lazy Sunday I did manage to venture out to the new Whole Foods. I walked past a Blenz coffee shop - outside there was a woman sitting at a table with a water from Starbucks. Inside Whole Foods, while wandering through the produce section I saw a woman sniffing a watermelon. I saw Amos - he gave me a tip that you can try any item - want to sample some ice cream? just ask. I will have to keep that in mind. I purchased some coconut gelato, so also had to get Ryan some white chocolate peanut butter. Now back to bed and streaming Gossip Girl.
